Dante offers an enriched environment with programs and activities that meet the interests of almost every child. We are very pleased that you are interested in having your child attend Dante Elementary School and are happy to try and answer any questions that you might have.

Parents must be eligible to receive a Certificate of Eligibility for their child.

2024-2025 school year

We are thrilled to hear that you have selected our school as your child(ren)’s elementary school. We look forward to having you join our family. We ask that you book an appointment using our online reservation system through the following link.

Online Kindergarten spot reservation links will be available on January 29, 2024 at 7 a.m.

Our regular Elementary School Registration week is between February 5 to February 9, 2024.

The Online Kindergarten spot reservation form will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. This form is for a parent to reserve a registration appointment for the 2024-2025 school year for kindergarten. Someone from the school will call you soon to validate your information and provide further information on the registration process. Appointments will be given in the order in which the registrations are received.

If your child is eligible for English language education and is ready to start kindergarten, we invite you view our virtual Open House to find out more about the great programs and resources we offer.

For Children Entering Grades 1 through 6

If your family is new to Montreal or you are considering changing schools, and your child is eligible for English language education, please call us and make an appointment to meet the principal and discuss how we can assist the transition of your child to Dante.

If you do not have a Certificate of Eligibility

In order to qualify for English Instruction in Quebec Public Schools, students must meet certain eligibility criteria under the Charter of the French Language as set out by the Quebec government.

Eligibility Requirements

If you have a Certificate of Eligibility

You must bring the following documents with you to register your child. Originals of these forms can be brought to the school:

Long Version Birth Certificate (showing both parents' names)
Immigration papers (required if not born in Canada)
Certificate of Eligibility
Proof of residence (lease and driver's licence/utility invoice etc.)
Required only if child was born outside Quebec
Citizenship of parent
Child's most recent report card (for grades 1 to 6)
Vaccination booklet
