Vocational training centres to reopen; Adult Education students to complete exams

Montreal - Wednesday, May 27, 2020

After receiving clear directives from the Ministry of Education dated May 21, 2020, the English Montreal School Board will re-open Adult Education and Vocational Training Centres.

Vocational Training Centres will re-open on  Monday, June 1 for programs that cannot be offered online. All safety rules prescribed by Santé Public will be respected and evaluations will take place at the Centre. Students will be contacted directly and should visit their Centre’s website for more information.

Mackay Centre and Philip E. Layton

The government and the Ministry of Education intend to have schools with a supra-regional mandate for students with severe handicaps and special needs re-open as well. At the EMSB, the Mackay  Centre and Philip E. Layton Schools are expected to welcome students back on Monday, June 1. This will be confirmed in the next two days.
